About this coffee

"Kopi" means coffee in Malay and Indonesian — and the Kopi Safari is our adventure blend, built for people who want a cup that takes them somewhere. Bright and energetic on the open, grounded and warm on the finish, consistent batch to batch and expressive sip to sip. This is the blend for people who want more from their coffee than just caffeine.

The Blend

The Kopi Safari is a post-roast blend — we roast each component to its ideal level before combining, ensuring that every origin expresses its best character in the final cup. The blend combines origins from across the coffee-growing world, selected for how they interact: the brightness of one origin balanced by the warmth of another, the body of one complemented by the clarity of another.

Post-roast blending takes more time and care than blending green beans before roasting, but it produces a significantly more complex and consistent result. Every bag of Kopi Safari tastes exactly like the last one — which is the point.

Flavor Profile

The Kopi Safari delivers:

  • Bright, lively opening — energetic and engaging from the first sip
  • Smooth, balanced mid-palate — the brightness settles into a comfortable sweetness
  • Warm, grounded finish — the cup lands somewhere satisfying and stays there
  • Full body — substantial and filling, with real weight
  • Versatile character — works beautifully in any brew method

How to Brew Kopi Safari

Pour Over (Recommended) — Highlights the brightness and complexity. Use a 1:15 ratio, water at 200°F, medium-fine grind. Bloom 45 seconds. Total brew time: 3–3.5 minutes.

Drip — Reliable and consistent. The balance and warmth come through clearly. Use a medium grind and a 1:15 ratio.

Espresso — The full body and brightness produce a complex, engaging shot. Works well straight or as the base for milk drinks.

Cold Brew — The brightness and warmth translate beautifully to cold brew. Use a 1:8 ratio, steep 18–24 hours.

French Press — The full body comes through beautifully. Use a coarse grind, 1:15 ratio, steep 4 minutes.

Best For

  • Adventure seekers who want a cup that engages and surprises
  • Versatile everyday coffee — works in any brew method
  • People who want complexity without intensity — bright but not aggressive
  • Espresso enthusiasts who want a blend with character
