French Vanilla is the most universally loved flavored coffee in the world — and the most frequently disappointing. Most versions use artificial flavoring that produces a synthetic sweetness with no resemblance to actual vanilla. Ours is different. Specialty-grade Arabica, smooth medium roast, natural vanilla applied while the beans are still warm. The result is a cup that's genuinely creamy, silky, and satisfying — the French Vanilla that flavored coffee was always supposed to be.
Why We Made This
"French Vanilla" refers to a style of vanilla flavoring richer and creamier than standard vanilla — inspired by French-style custard, which uses egg yolks to create a deeper, more indulgent character. In coffee, it means a vanilla with more depth and warmth than a simple extract. We use natural vanilla flavoring applied to the beans while they're still warm from roasting — the warmth opens the bean's pores and locks in the aroma and flavor. The result is a coffee that smells like a vanilla bakery from the moment you open the bag and delivers on that promise in every cup.
Flavor Profile

- Natural sweetness — vanilla and bean combine for a cup that's sweet without added sugar
- Smooth, silky body — one of the smoothest cups in our flavored lineup
- Subtle caramel undertone — a natural complement to the vanilla
- Clean, lingering finish — the vanilla stays with you without any artificial aftertaste
Ingredients
Specialty-grade medium roast Arabica coffee, natural vanilla flavoring. No artificial flavoring. No added sugar. Roasted and flavored to order. Roasted fresh in Temecula, California — in most cases the same day it ships.

How to Brew
Drip (Recommended) — Consistent and clean. Vanilla character comes through clearly. 1:15 ratio, medium grind. The aroma fills the kitchen from the first drip.
French Vanilla Latte — Brew strong and add steamed oat or almond milk. Natural sweetness means no syrup needed — just coffee, milk, and the vanilla already in the bean. Better than any coffee shop version.
Cold Brew — Exceptional cold-brewed. Vanilla sweetness deepens during the long steep, producing a smooth, naturally sweet iced coffee without added sugar. 1:8 ratio, steep 18–24 hours.
Iced Latte — Brew double-strength, pour over ice, add cold milk. Tastes like a vanilla iced latte without any syrup.
Best For
- Vanilla latte lovers who want the flavor without the syrup
- Everyday mornings — the comfort cup that makes every morning feel a little more luxurious
- Guests — the crowd-pleaser that works for every palate
- Gifting — universally loved, immediately impressive, always appreciated
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the vanilla flavoring natural?
Yes — natural vanilla flavoring only. The difference is significant: natural flavoring produces a warm, authentic vanilla character. Artificial flavoring produces a synthetic sweetness that doesn't taste like actual vanilla.
Do I need to add sugar?
No — the natural vanilla produces a cup that's naturally sweet. Most people find it doesn't need any added sugar, even black.
Is it good for lattes?
Exceptional. Brew strong and add steamed milk — no syrup needed. Better than any coffee shop French Vanilla latte you've had.
How does it compare to Caramel?
Both are naturally sweet, but distinct. French Vanilla is creamy and vanilla-forward. Caramel is buttery and caramel-forward. Classic creamy sweetness — French Vanilla. Richer, more buttery sweetness — Caramel.
