About this coffee

The 6 Bean Blend is our most complex blend — six carefully selected origins combined to produce a cup that's bold, layered, and deeply satisfying. The blend for people who want more than a one-note cup, and the one that keeps revealing new character the more you pay attention to it.

Why We Made This

Six origins. Six distinct flavor contributions. One unified cup. We source from across the coffee-growing world — Central America, South America, Africa, and Asia — each origin selected for how it contributes to the whole. We blend post-roast, roasting each component to its ideal level before combining. This takes more time and care than blending green beans before roasting, but it produces a significantly more complex and consistent result. The 6 Bean Blend is what happens when you refuse to compromise on any single component.

Flavor Profile

  • Bold, full-bodied intensity — substantial and filling, with real weight in the cup
  • Dark chocolate and caramel — the backbone of the blend, rich and satisfying
  • Earthy depth — from the Indonesian component, adding complexity and body
  • Subtle fruit notes — from the African component, adding brightness and complexity
  • Low acidity — smooth and easy on the stomach despite the intensity
  • Long, complex finish — the flavors evolve and linger

Ingredients

Specialty-grade dark roast Arabica coffee blend (six origins: Central American, South American, African, and Asian). Single-ingredient. No additives. Roasted to order. Roasted fresh in Temecula, California — in most cases the same day it ships.

Yield: ~17–24 cups per 12oz bag. Larger sizes scale proportionally.

How to Brew

French Press (Recommended) — Full body and complexity come through beautifully without a paper filter. Coarse grind, 1:15 ratio, steep 4 minutes, press slowly. Bold, complex, and deeply satisfying.

Espresso — Produces a bold, complex shot with real depth. Six-origin complexity comes through clearly. Works well straight or as the base for milk drinks.

Drip — Reliable and consistent. Chocolate and caramel notes come through clearly. Medium grind, 1:15 ratio.

Cold Brew — Bold character and low acidity make it excellent cold-brewed. Complexity deepens during the long steep. 1:8 ratio, steep 18–24 hours.

Best For

  • Bold coffee drinkers who want maximum complexity in their cup
  • Espresso enthusiasts who want a complex, multi-dimensional shot
  • French press lovers who want a blend that showcases the method
  • Single origin explorers who want a blend that brings the world together

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the six beans?
We source from six origins across Central America, South America, Africa, and Asia. The specific origins vary slightly by season to maintain the best quality, but the flavor profile remains consistent — bold, complex, and deeply satisfying.

Is it good for espresso?
Yes — one of our best espresso blends. The six-origin complexity produces a rich, multi-dimensional shot with real depth.

What roast level is this?
Dark. Dark enough to unify the six origins into a cohesive cup while preserving the complexity that makes the blend distinctive.

Why blend post-roast?
Roasting each component to its ideal level before blending ensures every origin expresses its best character in the final cup. It's more work, but the result is noticeably more complex and consistent.
