Mocha is the original flavored coffee — named for the port city of Al-Mokha in Yemen, where coffee and chocolate were first traded together centuries ago. Our Mocha brings that tradition into the present: specialty-grade Arabica beans, small-batch roasted to a smooth medium, and flavored with natural dark chocolate while the beans are still warm. Roasted fresh in Temecula, California — in most cases the same day it ships. Real cocoa depth in every sip. Not a vague sweetness — genuine dark chocolate, built into the bean.
Why We Made This
We use natural dark chocolate flavoring applied to the beans while they're still warm from roasting. The warmth opens the bean's pores and locks in the aroma and flavor. The result is a coffee that smells like a chocolate shop from the moment you open the bag and delivers on that promise in every cup — without any artificial aftertaste. We made this because mocha is a classic, and classics deserve to be done right.

- Long, chocolatey finish — the dark chocolate lingers pleasantly
Ingredients
Specialty-grade medium roast Arabica coffee, natural dark chocolate flavoring. No artificial flavoring. No added sugar. Roasted and flavored to order.
Yield: ~17–24 cups per 12oz bag. Larger sizes scale proportionally.
How to Brew
Drip (Recommended) — Consistent and clean. Chocolate character comes through clearly. 1:15 ratio, medium grind. The chocolate aroma fills the kitchen from the first drip.
Mocha Latte — Brew strong and add steamed milk. Natural chocolate sweetness means no syrup needed — just coffee, milk, and the chocolate already in the bean. Better than any coffee shop mocha latte you've had.
Cold Brew — Exceptional cold-brewed. Chocolate depth deepens during the long steep, producing a smooth, rich iced coffee that tastes like chocolate milk for adults. 1:8 ratio, steep 18–24 hours.
Iced Mocha — Brew double-strength, pour over ice, add cold milk. Tastes like an iced mocha without any syrup.
Best For
- Chocolate lovers who want their coffee to taste like dessert
- Mocha latte lovers who want the flavor without the syrup
- Morning indulgence — the cup that makes every morning feel like a treat
- After-dinner coffee — the chocolate character pairs beautifully with dessert
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the chocolate flavoring natural?
Yes — natural dark chocolate flavoring only. The difference is significant: natural flavoring produces genuine cocoa depth. Artificial flavoring produces a synthetic sweetness that doesn't taste like actual chocolate.
Do I need to add sugar?
No — the natural chocolate produces a cup that's naturally sweet. Most people find it doesn't need any added sugar, even black.
How does it compare to Mexican Chocolate?
Mocha is pure dark chocolate — rich, velvety, and clean. Mexican Chocolate adds cinnamon and vanilla for a more complex, spiced cup. Pure chocolate — Mocha. Chocolate with a warm spiced twist — Mexican Chocolate.
What roast level is this?
Medium. Light enough to let the chocolate notes shine, bold enough to stand on its own.
